Indications
- Treatment of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses
- Treatment of infections caused by bacteria and fungi
- Treatment of tinea pedis, tinea cruris & tinea corporis
- Treatment of acute and chronic eczema
Composition
- Betamethasone Dipropionate 0.5 mg
- Clotrimazole 10 mg
- Gentamicin Sulfate 1 mg
Mode of Action
- Anti-inflammatory action of Betamethasone Dipropionate
- Antifungal activity of Clotrimazole
- Bactericidal antibiotic activity of Gentamicin Sulfate
- Clotrimazole affecting fungal cell membrane
Dosage & Administration
- Apply gently into affected skin areas twice daily
- Duration of therapy varies depending upon extent and location of disease
- Regular application for effective treatment
Interaction
- Concomitant use with nephrotoxic drugs may increase risk of toxicity
- Concomitant use with ototoxic drugs may increase risk of toxicity
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with history of sensitivity reactions to any components
- Not for application to the face
- Avoid contact with eyes
- Not for prolonged use or use in extensive areas
- Not for use under an occlusive dressing, open wound, or injured areas
- Not for use in exterior genital areas and skin folds
Side Effects
- Adverse reactions reported very rarely
- Adverse reactions include hypochromia, burning, erythema, exudation etc.
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Use in pregnant women only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to fetus
- Decision should be made to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug
- Consideration of drug importance to lactating mother
Precautions & Warnings
- Do not combine with any other product containing corticosteroid
