Description
- Dopamine antagonist medication
- Blocks dopamine receptors in Chemoreceptor Trigger Zone (CTZ) and stomach
- Gastroprokinetic action

Dosage Instructions
- Taken 15-30 minutes before meals
- Usual recommended oral dose for adults: 10-20 mg every 6-8 hours
- Maximum dose for adults: 80 mg daily
- Recommended dosage for children based on body weight
Interaction
- Contraindicated with anticholinergic drugs
- Should not be given simultaneously with antacids and antisecretory drugs
- Metabolized through CYP3A4 pathway
- Inhibitors of CYP3A4 may increase plasma levels of domperidone
