Inhibition of neuronal reuptake of serotonin
Potentiation of neurotransmitter's action
Rapid absorption with maximum plasma concentrations occurring approximately 1-2 hours after intake
Biotransformational pathways: N-oxidation, N-demethylation, Naphthyl hydroxylation, Glucuronidation, Sulfation
Rapid distribution with a mean steady state volume of distribution of 162 L
Metabolites primarily eliminated in urine as conjugates
Terminal half life of approximately 19 hours

Recommended starting dose for all patients is 30 mg
Maximum recommended dosing frequency of once every 24 hours
Increased dose to maximum recommended dose of 60 mg if effect of 30 mg is insufficient
May be taken with or without food
Not recommended for use in individuals below 18 years of age
Caution in patients with mild or moderate renal impairment
Contraindicated in patients with moderate and severe hepatic impairment

Concomitant administration with CNS active medicinal products
Prescribed with caution in patients who use PDE5 inhibitors or alpha adrenergic receptor antagonists
Caution when used in patients taking Warfarin chronically
Avoid combining with alcohol

Known hypersensitivity to Dapoxetine Hydrochloride
Significant pathological cardiac conditions
Concomitant treatment with MAOIs, thioridazine, serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or other medicinal/herbal products with serotonergic effects

Avoid use in combination with recreational drugs
May lead to serious reactions if combined with certain recreational drugs
Possibly prodromal symptoms of syncope
Caution in patients with history of documented or suspected orthostatic reaction
Caution in patients taking other medicinal products known to affect platelet function or anticoagulants
Prescribed with caution in patients who use PDE5 inhibitors or alpha adrenergic receptor antagonists
