Indications

• Treatment and prevention of Iron, Folic Acid, and Zinc deficiencies

Composition

• Film-coated tablet
• Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex INN 188 mg
• Folic Acid BP 0.50 mg
• Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate USP 61.80 mg

Pharmacology

• Iron as Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex
• Non-ionic Ferric Iron and Polymaltose complex for controlled absorption
• Folic Acid for proper fetal development
• Zinc for enzyme functioning and protein metabolism

Dosage & Administration

• One tablet daily
• Two tablets in severe cases or as directed by physician

Interaction

• Unlikely interaction with food components or other medications

Contraindications

• Known hypersensitivity to any ingredients

Side Effects

• Rarely nausea, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Avoid use in first trimester if possible
• Requires definite evidence of Iron deficiency

• Dark coloration of stool may occur
