Description
- Combines fusidic acid and betamethasone valerate
- Potent topical antibacterial activity
- Anti-inflammatory properties
- Anti-pruritic activity
Pharmacology
- Antibacterial action against gram-positive bacteria
- Inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis
- Interference with amino acid transfer
- Induction of lipocortin
- Inhibition of phospholipase A-2 enzyme
Dosage & Administration
- Apply 2 times daily
- Gently massage into affected areas for 2 weeks
- Consider shorter course if symptoms improve
- Not recommended for children under 3 years of age
Interaction
- Contains corticosteroids
- May interact with other topical medications
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in viral tuberculosis
- Contraindicated in fungal skin infections
- Hypersensitivity to any of the components
