Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration

  • 1-4 chewable tablets after meals
  • 1-4 chewable tablets at bedtime
  • 2-4 teaspoonfuls of suspension after meals
  • 2-4 teaspoonfuls of suspension at bedtime
  • Dosage directed by physician

Interaction

  • Should not be used with Tetracycline
  • May affect bio-availability of certain drugs
  • May affect absorption of propranolol
  • May affect absorption of isoniazid
  • May affect absorption of prednisolone
  • May affect absorption of naproxen

Contraindications

  • Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to magnesium
  • Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to aluminium
  • Contraindicated in impaired renal functions

  • Diarrhea with excessive consumption
  • Constipation with excessive consumption
  • Regurgitation with excessive consumption

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Safe use in pregnancy if indicated
