Indications
- Unresectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)
- Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC)
Pharmacology
Kinase inhibitor targeting tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended daily dose of 400 mg tablets taken twice daily without food
- Management of suspected adverse drug reactions may require temporary interruption and/or dose reduction
- Missed doses: If a dose is missed, skip the missed dose, and take next dose at regular time
Interaction
- Contraindicated in patients with squamous cell lung cancer when combined with carboplatin and paclitaxel
- Possible interactions with UGT1A1 and UGT1A9 substrates, Docetaxel, Doxorubicin, Fluorouracil, CYP2B6 and CYP2C8 substrates, CYP3A4 inducers, CYP3A4 inhibitors, P-glycoprotein substrates, CYP enzyme induction, Neomycin
Contraindications
- Known severe hypersensitivity to Sorafenib or any other component
- Contraindicated in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel in patients with squamous cell lung cancer

- Geriatric Use: no differences in safety or efficacy observed

- Hepatic impairment: mild and moderate hepatic impairment have lower AUC
