Indications

Pharmacology
Histamine H2-receptor antagonist; inhibits gastric acid secretion
Dosage & Administration
- Tablet:
- Usual dose for adults: 20 mg twice daily or 40 mg once daily
- Usual dosage for acute gastritis: 20 mg orally twice a day or 40 mg once a day
- Dosage for maintenance therapy: 20 mg once daily
- Powder for Suspension:
- Dosage based on age for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease(GERD)
- Dosage for patients 1-16 years of age for various conditions
