Mode of Action

Human insulin made by DNA recombinant technology that regulates glucose metabolism and stimulates ingestion and utilization of glucose

Onset of Action

  • 30 minutes for Soluble Insulin-R
  • Slow onset for Isophane Insulin-N
  • 30 minutes for Soluble Insulin / Isophane Insulin 30/70 & 50/50

Dosage

Varies due to individual differences, affected by food, working style and exercising intensity, with average range for maintenance therapy in type 1 diabetic patients between 0.5 and 1.0 IU/kg

Interaction
