Indications
- Bronchial asthma

Pharmacology
- Long acting β2 adrenergic receptor agonist
- Stimulates β2 receptor
- Produces relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle
Dosage & Administration
- Children 2-5 years: 10 mg (10 ml syrup)
- Children 6-12 years:
- 10 mg (10 ml syrup)
- May be increased to 20 mg
- Adult:
- 10 mg
- May be increased to 20 mg after 1-2 weeks

- Hepatic impairment
- Liver cirrhosis

Pregnancy & Lactation
Caution during first trimester of pregnancy, caution if administered to breastfeeding patients, transient hypoglycemia reported in newborn pre-term infants
Precautions & Warnings
Dose should be reduced in patients with severely impaired renal function, patients with genetic deficiencies of plasma cholinesterase, patients with severe ischemic heart disease
Overdose Effects
Symptoms may include headache, anxiety, tremor, nausea, muscle cramps, palpitations, tachycardia, cardiac arrhythmias, hyperglycemia, lactacidosis, hypokalemia
