Description
Editin-R is a medicine used for the treatment of active duodenal ulcer, benign gastric ulcer, ulcer associated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, post operative stress ulcer, Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, and Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It is available in tablet, syrup, IV injection, and IV infusion forms. Editin-R competitively blocks histamine at H2-receptors of the gastric parietal cells, inhibiting gastric acid secretion. It should be used with caution in patients with impaired renal and hepatic function, and in nursing mothers. Editin-R is a specific H2 receptor antagonist and should be stored in a cool, dry place protected from light.
