Dosage & Administration

  • Dosage for mild to moderate infections for patients over 12 years

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to trimethoprim or sulphonamides
  • Megaloblastic anaemia due to folate deficiency
  • Marked liver parenchymal damage
  • Blood dyscrasia
  • Severe renal insufficiency
  • Glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Risk of sulphonamides passing to placenta and breast milk
