Indications
- Treatment of active duodenal ulcer

Pharmacology
- Competitively blocks histamine at H2-receptors

- 300 mg as a single daily dose at night for 4 to 8 weeks
- 150 mg twice daily for reflux esophagitis

- 150 mg twice daily for episodic dyspepsia
- Maintenance dosage at 150 mg

Interaction
- Delayed absorption with propantheline bromide
