Dosage and Administration

  • Individual dosage up to 4 gm mesalazine once daily or divided into 2-4 doses for active disease in adults
  • Recommended dosage of 2 gm mesalazine once daily for maintenance treatment in adults

Pediatric Dosage and Administration

  • To be determined individually based on age and weight
  • Maximum dose of 75 mg/kg/day in divided doses for active disease in children
  • Maximum dose of 2 g/day for maintenance treatment in children

Dosage Administration Method

  • Empty granule contents onto the tongue and wash down with water or orange juice
