Indications
- Carcinoma of the colon or rectum

Pharmacology
5-fluorouracil is converted into the active 5-fluorodeoxyuridine monophosphate (FdUMP) by a variety of different metabolic pathways.
Dosage & Administration
Intravenous administration at specific doses and schedules for different types of cancer, including palliative management, poor risk patients, maintenance therapy, cervical cancer, and pediatric dose for malignant disease.
Interaction
Pre-treatment with cimetidine can lead to increased plasma concentrations of the drug.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in severely debilitated patients, those with bone marrow suppression, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and patients without malignant illnesses.

Overdose Effects
No specific antidote to overdose, treatment consists of supportive care.
Reconstitution
Special, trained personnel should reconstitute the drug, caution should be exercised in handling, pregnant women must avoid handling.
Storage Conditions
Store in original carton not exceeding 25℃, protect from light.
