Indications

Pharmacology
- Non-steroidal drug with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties
- Potent inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase
- Involvement in the production of prostaglandin
- Rapid and complete absorption after oral administration
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended dose for adults: one 200 mg extended release Aceclofenac tablet daily
- Recommended dose for adults: 100 mg film coated Aceclofenac tablet twice daily
Interaction
- No significant drug interactions observed
- Close monitoring required when used with lithium and Digoxin
- Close monitoring required when used with diuretics
- Close monitoring required when used with anticoagulants
- Increased plasma level observed when used with Methotrexate
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac
- Contraindicated in patients in whom aspirin or NSAIDs precipitate attacks of asthma
