Pharmacology

Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal drug with anti-inflammatory properties
Aceclofenac is a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase enzyme
Aceclofenac is involved in the production of prostaglandin

Dosage & Administration

Recommended dose for extended release tablet: one 200 mg tablet daily for adults
Recommended dose for film coated tablet: 100 mg twice daily for adults

Interaction

No significant drug interactions observed
May increase plasma concentration of lithium and digoxin
May interact with diuretics
May enhance the activity of anticoagulants
May increase plasma level of methotrexate

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac
Contraindicated in patients with asthma attacks triggered by aspirin or NSAIDs
