Indications

Pharmacology
- Non-steroidal drug with anti-inflammatory properties
- Non-steroidal drug with analgesic properties
- Potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase enzyme
- Involvement in the production of prostaglandin
- Rapid and complete absorption after oral administration
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended dose of 200 mg extended release tablet daily for adults
- Recommended dose of 100 mg film coated tablet twice daily for adults
Interaction
- Close monitoring required with lithium and Digoxin
- Potential interaction with diuretics
- Enhancement of anticoagulant activity
- Possible increase in plasma level of methotrexate
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to it
- Contraindicated in patients with aspirin-induced asthma attacks
Side Effects
- May induce non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Avoidance in pregnancy and lactation unless benefits outweigh risks to the fetus
Precautions & Warnings
- Caution in patients with active or suspected peptic ulcer or gastro-intestinal bleeding
- Caution in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment
- Caution in patients with cardiac or renal impairment
- Caution in patients suffering from dizziness or urticaria
