Indications
- Relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis

Pharmacology
- Non-steroidal drug with anti-inflammatory properties
- Potent inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase
- Rapid and complete absorption after oral administration
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended dose: one 200 mg extended release tablet daily for adults
- Recommended dose: 100 mg film coated tablet twice daily for adults
Interaction
- No significant drug interactions observed
- Close monitoring required when used with lithium and digoxin
- Close monitoring required when used with diuretics
- Close monitoring required when used with anticoagulants
- Close monitoring required when used with methotrexate
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to it
- Contraindicated in patients in whom aspirin or NSAIDs precipitate attacks of asthma

- Avoid in pregnancy and lactation unless benefits outweigh risks to fetus

- Exercise caution in patients with active or suspected peptic ulcer

- Exercise caution in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment
- Exercise caution in patients with cardiac or renal impairment
- Exercise caution in patients suffering from dizziness
- Exercise caution in patients suffering from urticaria
