Dosage
Amlodipine and Atenolol 5/25 mg tablet once daily
DosageAdministration
Once daily, may be increased to 5/25 mg two tablets daily or as advised by physicians
Indications
- Essential hypertension
- Angina pectoris with hypertension
- Post myocardial infarction
- Refractory angina pectoris
Pharmacology
- Amlodipine - calcium antagonist, vasodilator
- Atenolol - beta-blocker, reduction in blood pressure, oxygen demand
Interactions
- Disopyramide: reduces its clearance
- Ampicillin: may reduce Atenolol levels
- Oral antidiabetics and insulin: beta-blockers may decrease tissue sensitivity to insulin

- Hypersensitivity
