Description

  • Treatment of active duodenal ulcer
  • Benign gastric ulcer
  • Reflux oesophagitis
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome treatment
  • Prevention of ulcer associated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent
  • Post operative stress ulcer treatment
  • Competitively blocks histamine at H2-receptors
  • Inhibition of gastric acid secretion
  • No effect on pepsin secretion
  • Dosage: 150 mg twice daily for duodenal and gastric ulcer
  • Dosage: 300 mg as a single daily dose at night for 4 to 8 weeks
  • Dosage: 150 mg twice daily for reflux oesophagitis
  • Dosage: 300 mg at bedtime for up to 8 weeks for reflux oesophagitis
  • Dosage: 150 mg 3 times daily for Zollinger Ellison syndrome
