Indications

Pharmacology
- Prodrug of terbutaline
- Long-acting β2 adrenergic receptor agonist
- Stimulates β2 receptor for bronchial muscle relaxation
Dosage & Administration
- 10 mg (10 ml syrup) for children 2-5 years
- 10-20 mg for children 6-12 years
- Initial dose of 10 mg for adults
- May increase to 20 mg based on clinical effect

Overdose Effects
- Symptoms and signs may include headache, anxiety, tremor, nausea, muscle cramps, palpitations, tachycardia, cardiac arrhythmias
- Hyperglycemia and lactacidosis may occur
- Hypokalemia due to redistribution of potassium
