Indications
- Treatment of Eczema in children and adults including atopic
- Infantile and descoid eczema
- Prurigo nodularis
- Psoriasis (excluding wide spread plaque psoriasis)
- Neurodermatoses including lichen simplex and lichen planus
- Seborrhoic dermatitis
- Contact sensitivity reaction
- Discoid lupus erythematoses
- Adjunct to systemic steroid therapy in generalized erythroderma
Pharmacology
- Synthetic adrenocorticosteroid
- Glucocorticoid in nature
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antipruritic
- Vasoconstrictive
Dosage & Administration
- Apply sparingly to affected area two or three times daily
- Usual maximum duration of therapy is three weeks

- No significant drug interactions reported with Mexiderm Cream/Ointment
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredients
- Rosacea & acne vulgaris
- Perioral dermatitis, perianal & genital pruritis
- Viral infections of the skin
- Primary infected skin lesions by fungi or bacteria
- Dermatoses in children under one year of age

Pregnancy & Lactation
- Avoid extensive use during pregnancy
Precautions & Warnings
- Signs of hypersensitivity stop application
- Avoid long term continuous topical therapy especially in children
- Adrenal suppression may occur even without occlusion
- Systemic absorption may produce hypercortisolism symptoms
- Atrophic changes may occur after prolonged treatment
- Avoid entering the eye when applied to eyelids
- Withdrawal of topical corticosteroid therapy if infection spreads
