Indications
- Treatment of eczema in children and adults including atopic
- Infantile and discoid eczema
- Prurigo nodularis
- Psoriasis (excluding widespread plaque psoriasis)
- Neurodermatoses including lichen simplex and lichen planus
- Seborrheic dermatitis
- Contact sensitivity reaction
- Discoid lupus erythematosus and as an adjunct to systemic steroid therapy in generalized erythroderma
Pharmacology
Synthetic adrenocorticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive activity suitable for dermatological use
Dosage & Administration
Sparingly apply to affected area two or three times daily until improvement occurs, then twice daily or less. Maximum duration of therapy is three weeks.

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in the preparation
- Rosaceae & acne vulgaris
- Perioral dermatitis, perianal & genital pruritis
- Viral infections of the skin, e.g. herpes simplex & chicken pox
- Primary infected skin lesions caused by fungi or bacteria
- Dermatoses in children under one year of age

Pregnancy & Lactation
Should not be used extensively in pregnancy
Precautions & Warnings
Well tolerated, signs of hypersensitivity should prompt application cessation. Avoid long-term continuous topical therapy, particularly in children, to prevent adrenal suppression. Extensive treatment areas may lead to systemic absorption and symptoms of hypercortisolism. Atrophic changes may occur after prolonged treatment. Care is needed to prevent the preparation from entering the eye if applied to the eyelids.
