Indications
- Treatment of Eczema in children and adults

Pharmacology
- Synthetic adrenocorticosteroid
- Glucocorticoid in nature
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antipruritic
- Vasoconstrictive activity
- Absorbed from the skin
- Increased percutaneous absorption from the skin due to inflammation
Dosage & Administration
- Apply sparingly to the affected area
- Two or three times daily until improvement occurs
- Twice daily or less after improvement
- Maximum therapy duration of three weeks

No significant drug interactions reported
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredients
- Rosaceae & acne vulgaris
- Perioral dermatitis, perianal & genital pruritis
- Viral infections of the skin (e.g. herpes simplex & chicken pox)
- Primary infected skin lesions caused by fungi or bacteria
- Dermatoses in children under one year of age

Pregnancy & Lactation
Should not be used extensively in pregnancy
Precautions & Warnings
- Signs of hypersensitivity - stop application
- Avoid long-term continuous topical therapy, especially in children
- Adrenal suppression may occur without occlusion
- Systemic absorption may produce symptoms of hypercortisolism
- Atrophic changes after prolonged treatment
- Avoid application to eyelids to prevent glaucoma
- Withdrawal of topical corticosteroid therapy if spread of infection occurs
