Dosage
- Standard dosage: 1.5-3 mg up to three times daily for outpatient therapy
- Higher dosage for severe cases or hospital treatment: 6-12 mg 2 or 3 times daily

- Dosing adjustment for children based on body weight

Interaction
- Enhanced sedative effects when combined with centrally active drugs
- Prolonged elimination half-life with cimetidine co-administration
- Avoid concomitant intake with alcohol
