Dosage & Administration

  • Dosage of Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 200 IU Tablet: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily
  • Dosage of Calcium 500 mg and Vitamin D3 400 IU Tablet: 1 tablet twice daily
  • Best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption

Interaction

  • Possible interaction with calcium, aluminium or magnesium containing antacids
  • Interaction with other calcium supplements
  • Interaction with calcitriol & other vitamin D3 supplements
  • Interaction with digoxin, tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline or oxytetracycline

Contraindications

  • Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia
  • Contraindicated in hyperthyroidism
  • Contraindicated in renal calculi & nephrolithiasis
  • Contraindicated in Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
