Pharmacology
- Contains Calcium Orotate
- Functional amino acid chelating ligand- orotic acid
- Assists the transport of calcium through cellular membrane

Dosage & Administration
- 400 mg Calcium Orotate: 2-3 tablets recommended daily with a meal or as directed by a physician
- 740 mg Calcium Orotate: 1-2 tablets recommended daily with a meal or as directed by a physician
Interaction
- Decreases absorption of biphosphonates, quinolone antibiotics, tetracycline antibiotics, levothyroxine, phenytoin, tiludronate disodium
- Thiazide-type diuretics interaction
- Increased risks of hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria
- Interaction with aluminum- and magnesium-containing antacids
- Decreased calcium absorption with mineral oil and stimulant laxatives
- Calcium depletion and osteoporosis risks with glucocorticoids and oral contraceptives/estrogen compounds
- Calcium depletion with anti-inflammatories and corticosteroids
Contraindications
- Incomplete or infrequent bowel movements
- Kidney stone
- Kidney disease
- Increased activity of the parathyroid gland
- High amount of calcium in urine
- High amount of calcium in the blood
- Extreme loss of body water
