Pharmacology
- Contains Calcium Orotate

Dosage & Administration
- 400 mg Calcium Orotate: 2-3 tablets with meal or as directed by a physician
- 740 mg Calcium Orotate: 1-2 tablets with meal or as directed by a physician
Interaction
- Decreases absorption of biphosphonates
- Interacts with quinolone antibiotics
- Interacts with tetracycline antibiotics
- Interacts with levothyroxine
- Interacts with phenytoin
- Increases risks of hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria with thiazide-type diuretics
- Affects absorption with aluminum- and magnesium-containing antacids
- Decreases calcium absorption with mineral oil and stimulant laxatives
- Causes calcium depletion with glucocorticoids
- Reduces calcium with oral contraceptives and estrogen compounds
- Depletes calcium with anti-inflammatories and corticosteroids
Contraindications
- Incomplete or infrequent bowel movements
- Kidney stone
- Kidney disease
- Increased activity of the parathyroid gland
- High amount of Calcium in urine
- High amount of Calcium in the blood
- Extreme loss of body water
