Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration
- 400 mg Calcium Orotate: 2-3 tablets as daily addition to diet
- 740 mg Calcium Orotate: 1-2 tablets as daily addition to diet
Interactions
- May decrease absorption of biphosphonates
- May decrease absorption of quinolone antibiotics
- May decrease absorption of tetracycline antibiotics
- Interaction with levothyroxine
- Interaction with phenytoin
- Interaction with tiludronate disodium
- Thiazide-type diuretics interaction
- Interaction with aluminum- and magnesium-containing antacids
- Interaction with mineral oil and stimulant laxatives
- Depletion caused by glucocorticoids
- Depletion caused by oral contraceptives and estrogen compounds

Contraindications
- Incomplete or infrequent bowel movements
- Kidney stone
- Kidney disease
- Increased activity of the parathyroid gland
- High amount of Calcium in urine
- High amount of Calcium in the blood
- Extreme loss of body water
