Indications

Pharmacology

Interaction
- Decreased intragastric acidity affecting absorption of ketoconazole
- Metabolism via cytochrome P450 impacting diazepam, phenytoin, and warfarin

- No evidence of interaction with phenacetin, theophylline, caffeine, propranolol, and others
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to Omeprazole

- Gastrointestinal reactions including diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, and flatulence

- Reversible mental confusion, agitation, depression, and hallucinations
- Arthritic and myalgic symptoms
- Varied reports of other side effects like blurred vision, taste disturbance, and increased sweating
Pregnancy & Lactation
