Description
- Acid-stable
- Semi-synthetic oral cephalosporin
- Rapidly absorbed after oral administration
Pharmacology
- Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis
- Binds to penicillin-binding proteins
- Arrests cell wall assembly resulting in bacterial cell death
Dosage & Administration
- Dose: 1g per day for adults
- Dose: 30 mg/kg daily for children
- May be taken with meals or on empty stomach

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Cefadroxil or any of its ingredients

- Most commonly reported: gastrointestinal disturbances
