Indications

  • Treatment of Upper Respiratory Tract Infections (URTI)
  • Treatment of Bronchitis
  • Treatment of Urinary Tract Infections

Pharmacology

  • Bactericidal activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
  • Inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis

Dosage & Administration

  • Usual course of treatment is 7 days
  • Recommended adult dosage: 200-400 mg daily
  • Dosage for children based on age and weight

Interaction

  • Potential interaction with anticoagulant therapy

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to cephalosporin antibiotics
