Indications

  • Treatment of pharyngitis/tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes
  • Treatment of acute bacterial otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis
  • Treatment of acute bacterial maxillary sinusitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae
  • Treatment of lower respiratory tract infections including pneumoniae
  • Treatment of uncomplicated skin and skin-structure infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes
  • Treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infections caused by E.coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae
  • Treatment of bone and joint infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus
  • Treatment of uncomplicated Gonorrhoea caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae
  • Treatment of early Lyme Disease (erythema migrans) caused by Borrelia burgdorferi
  • Treatment of septicemia caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, E.coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella spp.

  • Mode of Action: Bactericidal second generation cephalosporin antibiotic
