Indications
- Perennial allergic rhinitis
- Seasonal allergic rhinitis
- Chronic idiopathic urticaria
Pharmacology
- Contains Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride
- Levocetirizine is the active (Levo) isomer of cetirizine
- Highly effective nonsedating antihistamine
- Has a rapid and long-acting action
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dose: 5 mg once daily
- Children 6 to 11 years of age: 2.5 mg once daily
- Children 6 months to 5 years of age: 1.25 mg once daily
- Dosage adjustment for renal impairment
- No dosage adjustment for hepatic impairment
- No sufficient data for geriatric use
- Pediatric use based on adult efficacy
- Uncomplicated skin manifestations dosing for children 6 months to 17 years
- No dosage for end-stage renal disease patients

No known interactions with other drugs
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, cetirizine or its parent compound hydroxyzine
- Severe renal impairment contraindicated

- Rarely reported side effects: headache, dry mouth, fatigue, skin rash
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Pregnancy Category B
- Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy
- Not recommended for use by nursing mothers
