Interaction
- Enhances the action of other neuromuscular blocking agents

- Patients sensitive to clindamycin or any ingredients of the medicine

Pregnancy & Lactation
- Pregnancy Category B
- Crosses the placenta in humans
- Amniotic fluid concentrations approximately 30% of maternal concentrations
- Use in pregnancy only if clearly needed
- Reported to appear in breast milk
- Not recommended for nursing mothers if not clearly needed
Precautions & Warnings
- Prescribed with caution in individuals with a history of gastrointestinal disease, particularly colitis
Use in Special Populations
- Monitoring of organ system functions in newborns and infants
- No dose adjustment for geriatric use
Overdose Effects
- Rarity of overdosage with orally administered Clindaben
- Similar adverse reactions as normal doses
- Expectation of unexpected reactions
- Ineffectiveness of haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
- Treatment with simple gastric lavage
- No specific antidote known
