Description

Xenoderm Cream is indicated for the short courses treatment of recalcitrant eczemas, neurodermatoses, psoriasis with secondary bacterial or fungal infection, and other inflammatory conditions. It contains Clobetasol Propionate, Neomycin Sulphate, and Nystatin to provide anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal effects.

Technical Specifications

  • Clobetasol Propionate: Very potent corticosteroid with topical anti-inflammatory activity

Usability Features

  • Dosage & Administration: Apply sparingly once or twice daily to affected area, not to be used for more than 7 days without medical supervision
  • Interaction: Neomycin Sulphate can intensify and prolong the respiratory depressant effects of neuromuscular blocking agents if systemically absorbed
  • Contraindications: Not to be used in rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, primary cutaneous viral infections, or in cases of hypersensitivity to the preparation
  • Side Effects: Possible systemic absorption resulting in features of hypercortisolism with prolonged use, local atrophic changes and pigmentation changes with intensive treatment
