Indications
- Treatment of panic disorder with or without agoraphobia
- Treatment of Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome
- Treatment of akinetic and myoclonic seizures
- Treatment of absence seizures (petit mal)

Dosage & Administration
- Usual initial dose for adults with seizure disorders: 1.5 mg/day divided into three doses
- Usual initial dose for adults with panic disorder: 0.25 mg given in two divided doses
- Usual initial dose for pediatric patients: 0.01-0.03 mg/kg/day up to 0.05 mg/kg/day
Interactions
- No significant alteration of phenytoin, carbamazepine, or phenobarbital pharmacokinetics
Contraindications
- History of hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines
- Clinical or biochemical evidence of significant liver disease
- Acute narrow angle glaucoma

Precautions & Warnings
- Increased incidence of generalized tonic-clonic seizures in patients with multiple seizure disorders
- Concomitant use with valproic acid may produce absence status
Use in Special Populations
- Increased production of saliva and bronchial secretion in infants and small children
- Greater pharmacologic effects in elderly patients
- No dose adjustment required in patients with renal impairment
- Reduced clearance in liver cirrhosis
