Indications
- Relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms
- Relief of perennial allergic rhinitis symptoms
- Relief of chronic idiopathic urticaria symptoms
Mode of Action
- Non-sedating histamine antagonist
- Long-acting tricyclic histamine antagonist
- Selective H1-receptor histamine antagonist activity
- Inhibition of histamine release from human mast cell
Dosage and Administration
- Pediatric drops for 6-11 months old child: 2 ml drops once daily
- Pediatric drops for 1-2 years old child: 2.5 ml drops once daily
- Syrup for 6-11 months old child: 2 ml once daily
- Syrup for 1-5 years old child: 2.5 ml once daily
- Syrup for 6-11 years old child: 5 ml once daily
- Syrup for adults and >12 years old: 10 ml once daily
- Tablet for adults and children 12 years and over: 1 tablet daily

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Desloratadine or its ingredients or Loratadine

Pregnancy and Lactation
- Pregnancy Category C
- Use during pregnancy only if clearly indicated

- Starting dose for adult patients with liver or renal impairment: one 5 mg tablet every other day
- Consideration required for patients with medical or familial history of seizures
