  • Peritoneal dialysis dependent-chronic kidney disease patients
  • Patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Patients donating blood
  • Postpartum patients

Contraindications

  • Evidence of Iron overload
  • Hypersensitivity to Iron Sucrose
  • Anaemia not caused by Iron deficiency
  • History of allergic disorders
  • Liver disease
  • Infections

  • Non-Dialysis Dependent-Chronic Kidney Disease Patient: Total cumulative dose 1000 mg over a 14 day period

Overdose Effects

  • Accumulation in storage sites
  • Symptoms include hypotension, headache, vomiting
