Indications

• Relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis
• Relief of pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis
• Relief of pain and inflammation in ankylosing spondylitis
• Relief of toothache
• Relief of trauma
• Relief of lumbago

Pharmacology

• Non-steroidal drug
• Anti-inflammatory properties
• Analgesic properties
• Inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzyme
• Involvement in prostaglandin production
• Rapid and complete absorption after oral administration

Dosage & Administration

• Recommended dose for extended release tablet in adults: one 200 mg tablet daily
• Recommended dose for film coated tablet in adults: 100 mg, twice daily

Interaction

• No significant drug interactions observed
• Close monitoring required with use of lithium and digoxin
• Potential interaction with diuretics
• Enhanced activity of anticoagulant
• Increased plasma level of methotrexate

Contraindications

• Known hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac
• Aspirin or NSAIDs precipitating asthma attacks
