Composition

  • Ferrous Sulphate content: 150 mg
  • Equivalent Iron content: 47 mg
  • Folic Acid content: 500 mcg
  • Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate content: 61.80 mg
  • Equivalent Zinc content: 22.50 mg

Dosage & Administration

  • Adult dosage: 1 capsule daily
  • Severe adult dosage: 2 capsules daily
  • Children dosage (age over 1 year): 1 capsule daily
  • Children's capsule can be opened and mixed with food
  • Do not chew the capsules

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to product components
  • Iron overload

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Avoid drug use in first trimester of pregnancy
  • Require definite evidence of Iron deficiency for first trimester administration
  • Justified use of Folic Acid during remainder of pregnancy

Precautions & Warnings

  • Take care in patients at risk of Iron overloads
  • Failure to respond may indicate other causes of anaemia
  • Potential interactions with tetracycline, penicillamine, antacids
  • Separate administration of products by several hours
  • Risk of Zinc accumulation in renal failure

Overdose Effects

  • Iron overdosage is dangerous, particularly in children
  • Immediate attention required for iron overdosage
  • Gastric lavage or induced vomiting may be necessary
  • Avoid gastric lavage or emesis in zinc corrosive cases
  • Give oral desferrioxamine and demulcent in iron overdosage
  • Serum Iron level criteria for desferrioxamine use
  • Zinc Sulphate over dosage is corrosive
  • Symptomatic and supportive measures should be given
