Dosage & Administration

Adult: One Capsule daily before food or as directed by the physician

Interaction

Carbonyl Iron decreases the absorption of certain antibiotics
Folic Acid interacts with antiepileptics

Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to any component
Iron overload

Side Effects

Gastrointestinal irritations such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea
Dark stool
Rare allergic reactions

Pregnancy & Lactation

Avoid use during the first trimester if possible
Definite evidence required for iron deficiency during the first trimester
Prophylaxis justifiable during the remainder of pregnancy

Precautions & Warnings

Special care in patients with Iron overload states
