Description
- Relieves symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
- Relieves symptoms associated with chronic idiopathic urticaria
- Improves health-related quality of life and work/activity productivity
- Blocks histamine production during allergic reactions
- Reduces symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, lacrimation, itchy, red eyes, itchy nose/palate/throat, pruritus, and wheals
- Does not cross the blood-brain barrier, unlikely to cause significant CNS effects
Dosage & Administration
- Allergic Rhinitis:
- Adults and Children 12 years and older:
- 60 mg twice daily
- 120 mg once daily
- 180 mg once daily
- Adults and Children 12 years and older:
- Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria:

- 60 mg twice daily

Interaction
- Does not undergo hepatic biotransformation
- Coadministration with erythromycin or ketoconazole can increase fexofenadine levels in plasma
- No interaction with omeprazole observed
- Antacids containing aluminium and magnesium hydroxide can reduce bioavailability
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of its ingredients
