Description

Alafree 30 mg/5 ml Suspension is an antihistamine indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children.

Indication

  • Relief of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
  • Relief of symptoms associated with chronic idiopathic urticaria

Age group

  • Adults
  • Children 12 years and older
  • Children 6 to 11 years
  • Children 2 to 11 years
  • Children from 6 months to less than 2 years

Dosage options

  • 60 mg twice daily
  • 120 mg once daily
  • 180 mg once daily
  • 30 mg twice daily
  • 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily
  • 30 mg or 5 ml once daily
  • 15 mg or 2.5 ml twice daily
  • 15 mg or 2.5 ml once daily

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of its ingredients

Interaction

  • No interaction with omeprazole observed
  • Coadministration with erythromycin or ketoconazole increases fexofenadine level in plasma
  • Antacid administration 15 minutes prior reduces bioavailability
