Description
- Fenaxo is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
- It blocks histamine that the body makes during an allergic reaction.
- It treats allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of histamine in the body.
- Fenaxo improves health-related quality of life and work/activity productivity.
- It does not undergo hepatic biotransformation and therefore will not interact with other medicinal products through hepatic mechanisms.
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of its ingredients.

Age recommendations
- Adults and children 12 years and older:
- 60 mg twice daily
- 120 mg once daily
- 180 mg once daily
- Children from 6 to 11 years:
- 30 mg twice daily
- 60 mg once daily
- Children from 2 to 11 years:
- 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily
Renal function dosage adjustment
- In case of impaired renal function: 60 mg once daily
Hepatic function dosage adjustment
- Moderate to severe hepatic disease does not affect the pharmacokinetics of fexofenadine substantially.
Interactions
- Erythromycin or ketoconazole: 2-3 times increase in the level of fexofenadine in plasma
- Omeprazole: No interaction observed
- Antacid containing aluminium and magnesium hydroxide: Reduction in bioavailability
Warnings
- Older people and renally or hepatically impaired patients: Limited data
- Cardiovascular disease patients: Warned of potential adverse reactions like tachycardia and palpitations
- Ability to drive and use machines: Unlikely to produce an effect on the ability to drive or use machines
