Description

Dosage

  • 60 mg twice daily
  • 120 mg once daily
  • 180 mg once daily (for allergic rhinitis)

  • Adults and children 12 years and older:
    • Allergic Rhinitis:
      • 60 mg twice daily
      • 120 mg once daily
      • 180 mg once daily
    • Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria:
      • 60 mg twice daily
      • 120 mg once daily
      • 180 mg once daily
  • Children 6 to 11 years:
    • Allergic Rhinitis:
      • 30 mg twice daily
      • 60 mg once daily
    • Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria:
      • 30 mg twice daily
      • 60 mg once daily
  • Children 2 to 11 years:
    • Allergic Rhinitis:
      • 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily
    • Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria:
      • 30 mg or 5 ml (1 tsp) twice daily

Interaction

  • No interaction with omeprazole observed
  • Administration of antacids containing aluminum and magnesium hydroxide reduces bioavailability
  • Leave 2 hours between administration of Fondy and antacids

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of its ingredients

  • Hepatically impaired patients: No substantial effect on pharmacokinetics
  • Elderly patients: Altered pharmacokinetics (increased bioavailability) in individuals over 65 years of age
