Indications

  • Regular treatment of asthma
  • Combination product (long-acting β2-agonist and inhaled corticosteroid) is appropriate
  • Patients not adequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids
  • Patients already adequately controlled on both inhaled corticosteroid and long-acting β2-agonist

Pharmacology

  • Selective, long-acting beta-2 agonist for asthma
  • Corticosteroid with mainly glucocorticoid activity for improving lung function

Dosage

  • Different dosages for adults, adolescents, and children
  • Inhalation capsule for asthma and COPD
  • Maxhaler for asthma and COPD

  • Contraindicated in primary treatment of status asthmaticus or other acute episodes of asthma
