Indications
- Eczema and dermatitis with secondary infections

Description
- Combines fusidic acid and betamethasone valerate
- Potent topical antibacterial activity of fusidic acid
- Anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic activity of betamethasone valerate
- Effective against Staphylococci, Streptococci, Corynebacteria, Neisseria, Clostridia, and Bacteroides
Pharmacology
- Fusidic acid effective against gram-positive bacteria
- Inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis
- Betamethasone induces lipocortin
- Phospholipase A-2 enzyme inhibition
- Dermal absorption of betamethasone depends on skin condition and exposure duration
Dosage & Administration
- Adults: apply 2 times daily for 2 weeks
- Consider shorter course if symptoms improve
- Not recommended for children under 3 years
Interaction
- Other topical medications containing corticosteroids
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in viral tuberculosis
- Contraindicated in fungal skin infections
- Hypersensitivity to any of the components
