Indications
- steroid responsive ocular inflammatory conditions
- blepharitis
- scleritis
- episcleritis
- iritis
- cyclitis
- iridocyclitis
- choroiditis
- optic neuritis
- chronic anterior uveitis
- disciform keratitis
- interstitial keratitis
- allergic corneal marginal ulcers
- corneal injury from chemical radiation or thermal burns
Pharmacology
- decreases inflammation
- inhibits migration of leukocytes
- reversal of increased capillary permeability
- suppresses normal immune response
- inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase
- inhibits Topoisomerase IV
Dosage & Administration
- instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac 3 to 4 times daily
Contraindications
- epithelial herpes simplex keratitis (Dendritic keratitis)
- vaccinia
- varicella
- viral diseases of the conjunctiva and cornea
- mycobacterial infection of the eye
- fungal diseases of ocular structures
- hypersensitive to any of the components
Side Effects
- mild burning
- chemosis
- redness
Pregnancy & Lactation
- use in pregnancy only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus
- use in lactation with caution
Precautions & Warnings
- ophthalmic use only
- monitor intraocular pressure if used for 10 days or more
Use in Special Populations
- safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients not established
Overdose Effects
- overdose through local administration not known
- specific measures to reduce resorption in case of accidental oral intake
- no specific antidote

Storage Conditions
- store at room temperature
- protect from light
- close the bottle immediately after use
- do not use for longer than one month after opening
